The second Hakuoki Shitan production centers on the oni Chikage Kazama and his encounters with Chizuru Yukimura and the Shinsengumi led by Toshizo Hijikata. Nobuhiro Mouri adapted the 2014 script for a new staging directed by Daisuke Nishida. Masataka Nakagauchi plays Kazama, with Sakiho Motonishi as Chizuru.
